Max 2/2 Back Zip Glued, Blindstitched & Fully Taped Wetsuit
Arguably The Most Comfortable Wetsuit You'll Ever Wear
Warm, soft, lightweight and exceptionally flexible, the Max 2/2 Back Zip Glued, Blindstitched & Fully Taped Wetsuit is designed for ocean users who want premium performance without the bulk of a thicker wetsuit.
Built using premium Yamamoto limestone neoprene, the Max absorbs very little water, helping it stay remarkably light throughout your entire session. Combined with Titanium Alloy Alpha 2.0 and glued, blindstitched and fully taped seam construction, the result is exceptional comfort, warmth, durability and freedom of movement in a wide range of conditions.
Featuring a strong anti-corrosive YKK back zip, the Max is quick and easy to get on and off while maintaining the premium performance expected from the Max range.

The Benefits You'll Notice In The Water
Lightweight All Session Long
One of the biggest differences you'll notice is how light the Max feels in the water.
Premium Yamamoto limestone neoprene absorbs significantly less water than conventional neoprene, helping reduce weight, fatigue and that heavy waterlogged feeling during long sessions.
Exceptional Flexibility
The Max range is built around freedom of movement.
Whether you're surfing, wing foiling, kiteboarding or spending long hours on the water, the wetsuit moves naturally with your body without feeling restrictive.
Warmth Without A Thicker Wetsuit
Titanium Alloy Alpha 2.0 helps reflect body heat back towards you, while the glued, blindstitched and fully taped seam construction minimises water entry through the seams.
The result is additional comfort and warmth without the bulk of a thicker wetsuit.
Easy On, Easy Off
The strong anti-corrosive YKK back zip makes getting in and out of the wetsuit quick and easy.
It's an ideal choice for ocean users who value convenience without sacrificing performance, warmth or flexibility.
Built To Be Worn, Not Replaced
Many lightweight performance wetsuits are built for maximum stretch, but not necessarily for years of regular use.
At Seventhwave, we believe performance should last.
That's why we continue to fully tape critical seam joins and back every wetsuit with our Lifetime Stitching Warranty.
Because a wetsuit isn't good value if you're replacing it every season.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the Max 2/2 Summer Seam, Max 2/2 Back Zip Glued and Max 2/2 Ultra?
All three wetsuits use the same premium Yamamoto limestone neoprene and Titanium Alloy Alpha 2.0 thermal barrier.
The difference between the Summer Seam and the Back Zip Glued version is the seam construction. The Back Zip Glued version uses glued, blindstitched and fully taped seams that minimise water entry through the seams, providing greater warmth and comfort while maintaining exceptional flexibility.
The Max 2/2 Ultra is the next step up in warmth, with Zirconium thermal lining through the chest, kidney and upper leg panels. This provides increased heat retention while maintaining excellent flexibility.
What is the difference between the Max 2/2 Back Zip and Max 2/2 Chest Zip?
Both wetsuits use the same premium Yamamoto limestone neoprene, Titanium Alloy Alpha 2.0 thermal barrier and glued, blindstitched and fully taped seam construction.
The main difference is the entry system.
The Back Zip features a strong anti-corrosive YKK zip and is easier to get on and off, while the Chest Zip offers a more performance-focused entry with reduced water entry and a slightly more connected fit.
Both provide excellent warmth, comfort and flexibility.
Why choose a back zip wetsuit?
Many ocean users simply prefer the convenience of a back zip entry. The Max 2/2 Back Zip is quick and easy to get on and off while still delivering the premium performance, comfort and durability Seventhwave is known for.
Can I wear this wetsuit across multiple seasons?
Absolutely. Many customers wear the Max 2/2 Back Zip Glued across spring, summer and autumn, while others extend its range further by layering with a Titanium Vest or Titanium Hot Top.
As a general guide, many customers find the Max 2/2 Back Zip Glued comfortable on its own down to around 16°C water temperature. Add a Titanium Vest or Titanium Hot Top and many extend that range into the 13–16°C range.
Individual comfort will vary depending on the sport, activity level, body type and personal cold tolerance.
Why does the Max feel lighter than many other wetsuits?
Yamamoto limestone neoprene has an incredibly low water absorption rate, helping the wetsuit remain lighter throughout your session and dry faster afterwards.
Why is Yamamoto neoprene considered premium?
Yamamoto neoprene is widely regarded as one of the highest-performing wetsuit materials in the world due to its flexibility, comfort, low water absorption, shape retention and durability.
Why does Seventhwave offer a Lifetime Stitching Warranty?
Because we build wetsuits to last. We stand behind our craftsmanship and believe premium performance should be matched by long-term reliability.
