The Viper 3/3 or 4/3 Titanium Zip Bib Steamer features a combination of our superior Japanese neoprenes: Yamamoto MR7000 Superstretch arms and upper torso giving you awesome flexibility where you need it, while the bottom half is constructed with our most durable and hard working #38 Yamamoto rubber. A popular choice for the seasoned surfer, the Viper is a tried and tested performer that could outlast a Toyota diesel.
If you want warmth, durability and a suit that is going to dry fast - this is it.

"I am very pleased to report my Viper 3/3 outperformed my old 5mm Rip Curl winter wetsuit and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in a high performance, lightweight, exceptionally warm wetsuit for the most extreme conditions!" [more]
Richard Costa

"European canyoners grunted through canyons in 7mm one piece or 5mm two piece suits. I danced through the canyons in my Viper 3/3—what a dream it was, with many envious onlookers!" [more]
Annette Philips

"I couldn’t believe how warm I was surfing in Dunedin—the water here is pretty cold and usually after an hour or two you start to feel it. In my Viper I was surfing for 3hours+ and was only starting to get cold at the end, I was amazed." [more]

Viper thumbMATERIALS
  • Yamamoto Limestone Neoprene: Yamamoto Neoprene has a nitrogen closed cell content of 94% — 23% higher than most competing materials — and with virtually no water absorption means the weight of this rubber remains nearly identical in wet or dry conditions, giving you more warmth than thicker wetsuits without the weight. It also means it dries quicker than other suits.
  • 70% #38 Neoprene: Super durable neoprene from the chest down makes the Viper extremely durable and long lasting.
  • 30% MR 7000 Superstretch: Stretchy neoprene in the arms adds amazing flexibility where you need it.
Fully Titanium-lined: the entire suit is lined with a super thin heat retaining film called Titanium Alloy Alpha that reflects your bodyheat and also keeps out the cold. Every time you move, paddle, or expel energy, your thermal heat is reflected back to you—increasing heat retention by an amazing 40%.
  • No smoothie: a more durable and forgiving chest panel without loosing any warmth.
  • Glued & Double Blindstiched seams are sealed by a double coating of glue, butted together and then blindstitched on both sides of the seam.
  • Water-tight construction ensures no leaky seams, and is perfect for freezing temperatures.
  • Zip Bib (ZB) neck entry closure system made from Titanium lined superstretch rubber creates a super warm seal and prevents leakage. A neck entry gives you the best flush-free seal through any duck-dive, and no chunky zip up the back gives extreme stretch throughout the back panel.
  • Armatek kneepads are a durable heat-pressed material designed to take the hardest of knocks.

"With a custom suit the fit is perfect every time, eliminating the possibility of water pockets and chaffing. With this lesson learnt I have found myself in thinner suits, resulting in less rubber, more flexibility, and a more comfortable experience." [more]

My custom 3/3 Viper steamer arrived at the factory where I work this afternoon! Tried it on where it fit like a glove. Chucked my jeans & T-shirt into the car, drove home then went surfing for two hours in clean conditions with a fresh southerly blowing at Manly. I did not read anything on the stickers (care, 'how to' etc etc) which, your company says, is 'normal' - there may be a few mates who disagree with that diagnosis though!

Suit is flawless. Magnificent build and fit and very warm so those cold winter days that are coming will not be a problem.
Currently the water temps are hovering around and slowly heading south of 20 degrees C. The wind is the killer for me.

Took me a few goes to get the chest zip to engage but after I watched the 'How To' vids -- All good. Ditto for the how get into/out of the zipless suit.

Thanks again - I'm very happy with the service, posting, delivery and most of all -- the suit. It would be remiss of me not to thank Seventh Wave for the neoprene beer coolers included in the shipment too.

Cheers! Will Burgess

Second 2-hour surf this morning -- much smaller and inconsistent with long windy gaps between waves but did not flinch in my custom 3/3 Viper.

After yesterday's rinse and overnight drying, suit seemed to go on easier today, moulding to my body without that choking or 'squeezed in' feeling. Maybe it was the 'How to' vids that got me into it/out of it faster and easier than yesterday.

Water temps here are around 20 degrees C but slowly dipping. The winds are the pain for me but thanks to that 3/3, windchill not an issue now.

Yeah, yeah - I know you guys must be shaking your heads going "What the....20 degrees! He must be an Aussie....ballerina" But that's alright. I go surfing to be warm. And now I will be -- right through the winter, no matter where I go for a splash.

Cheers, Will

Warm. That is the answer I give when someone asks me about my wetsuit. Seventhwave is not a known brand here so I do get asked a lot. Like I said the up side is the suit is very warm and I only pull it out when I have to. Never been cold. Downside is I should have ordered a custom and not off the rack but the extra $100 is a bit steep. The large is like a regular medium. With the 3mm being a bit stiff compare to a known brand the flexibility is compromised. The suit does not mould either like others. Its a bit like putting on the old 80's type wettie. Would I buy another maybe but a 3/2mm and go up grade. I post this because it is so hard to get the truth out there about wetsuits.

After 2 weeks of waiting I finally got to use my 4/3mm Ti Custom-Fit Viper wetsuit at New Brighton this weekend.
First off, I'm very impressed with the excellent fit and overall quality of the suit. For the same price as other top of the range wetsuits you can purchase one of these that is custom made for you, in the color that you want and uses a higher quality of materials.
In sea temperatures of 8'C and an air temperature of 6'C I managed to Paddle board surf for over 2 hours all the time feeling very warm and comfortable.
Very please with this great product............Cheers.

Let me start by saying I surf 2 to 4 times a week. I bought a viper 3/3 two years ago. Just as warm today as the day I first wore it. It's held up better than any other suit I've ever owned. I live in taranaki and the viper is perfect most of the time. Cold wonder days I wear a hood with it. It's only too warm for maybe 6 weeks in the summer. Stretchy, warm, drys fast :)
