Over twenty years ago Tony started out stand up surfing. He occasionally rides a long board, but is most passionate about his sport of waveskiing. He has hit the waves globally, and recalls surfing in Lacanau, France.
"I stayed there for a month at a camp ground right on the beach, the surf was awesome. I surfed up to three times a day. Every day it was offshore in the morning, and off shore late arvo. The surf was between 4 to 8 ft the whole time. Great trip."
When asked what he likes about his Seventhwave MAX Steamer, Tony has some definite view points.
"I started out in one of the first MAX 2/2 wetsuits and compared to anything else I had used, that suit was unbelievable. It was so comfortable and warm, it felt like I wasn't even wearing a suit. The flexibility in the suit was so good."
As far as the way Tony treats his wetsuits, he is honest about the thrashing he gives them. "I put my wetsuits through the worst possible conditions and they have never let me down. Whatever Seventhwave are doing, they have got the mix just right."
Tony should know what he is talking about. Have a glimpse at his impressive competition results below. In parting he has this to say about his relationship with Seventhwave:
"I have used all the main brand wetsuits from around the world over the last twenty years and I personally have found that if you want a wetsuit that is flexible, warm, and lasts longer than other brands then you should go to Seventhwave - you will be so glad you did!"

A surfer for 20 years, Rob Gray knows what he needs in a wetsuit. Period. Having surfed in all climates and conditions, from the cold south of New Zealand, to the hot wet climate of Indonesia, Rob has the low down on what makes a great wetsuit.
“The thing I love about my Seventhwave wetsuit is it’s versatility” says Rob. “I use my Viper 3/3 all over the world. I love the build quality of this suit. Some suits use a non stretch seam in their wetsuits. What’s the use of that? My Viper has the perfect mix of stretch, durability and versatility. I can add layers under my suit for really cold conditions – the one wetsuit covers a lot of different conditions."
Rob counts some of his greatest experiences in life while he has been out surfing. “I remember a pod of Orca at Magnet Bay near Christchurch. Five foot giant fins popped out of the water, 20 feet away. Unbelievable.”
Being in the manufacturing business for many years himself, Rob has an intimate knowledge of a customers needs, balanced with what makes a high quality product. “I’ve tried a lot of other suits over the years – you know, Ripcurl, Billibong and all those brands. But this Seventhwave suit is by far the best of the lot."
Rob has used Seventhwave wetsuits for the last 13 years. Going by what he knows about these wetsuits, he will be in his Viper for years to come.
Robert Fantham has been a surfer, professional surf coach and Seventhwave wetsuit ambassador for many years. Currently living between Christchurch New Zealand, Germany, Poland and California, Rob surfs globally every year. Rob's a seasoned traveller, and tries to surf in a new part of the world every 12 months. His favorite surf spots to date are Peru, South Africa, Banks Peninsula (Canterbury) and Northern California.
Rob's passion for passing on his surf and ocean knowledge is alive and well. He coaches surfing in Sumner, New Zealand during the summer months, and has taught some of todays up and coming competitive and recreational surfers. It is his passion and drive that keep him coaching, and he loves the contact he has with people from all over the world.
Rob has given his Vortex 3/2 Steamer 5 plus years of surfing abuse and has been amazed at how it has held up to his treatment. We certainly don't recommend you do some of the things he has done. Recently Rob purchased a MAX 2/2 Ti G&S Steamer, and is wondering what he has been doing in his old beaten up wetsuit all these years. "The comfort and fit of this new suit is amazing", Rob says. "It is like a second skin, is warm and durable, and dries very quickly. It's great!"
