THE LINEUP:
Tahiti monsters & world tour wars![]() The 2011 ASP World Tour has had a phenomenal year so far. Monster waves in Tahiti saw the event postponed for a day, opening the way for some insane tow-in surfing of the kind never before witnessed. Meanwhile Kelly Slater has begun a charge for '11 in 11', and so far the only person close to stopping him is rookie Owen Wright—battling Slater in three consecutive finals. With some solid waves right now in France, can Owen even the score? Either way, we're in for an awesome year of surfing. What wetsuit for me? interactive product finder![]() 'What wetsuit for me?' is a question we get asked everyday. So we've developed an interactive product finder to fulfill your needs. By following 2 easy steps the product finder will suggest a range of products that match your unique conditions. Whether you're surfing in freezing waters or wakeboarding on a summery Saturday morning, we've got you covered. Give it a whirl! Hit the road Jack...![]() Jack Entwistle, Seventhwave ambassador and all-around ripper, is almost free of school and ready to take on the world. So when Jack was asked to go to Thailand to shoot a surf film, it was perfect timing. The film will be shown at the Yallingup Surf Film Festival in Australia and film festivals all over the world, but in the meantime, here's some great pics of Jack in action. New Zealand-wide paddle-out to protect beaches![]() On October 16 a national paddle-out has been organised by the Surfbreak Protection Society to highlight the plight of surf breaks in New Zealand. Especially important is the paddle-out at Aramoana, Dunedin, an amazing break threatened by dredging. Since 1985 the wave has been deteriorating and it's about to get worse—Port of Otago plans to increase its development. Watch this video, sign the online petition, and paddle-out October 16 to help protect our beaches. For more info click here. Feedback: the world's best wetty!![]() I live on the beach in Gissy and I use it very often. I do not get cold in it—it's as simple as that. The rubber is still soft, the seams do not leak, I do not get flushed, and I still enjoy the confidence of knowing that upon entering the water—no matter what—I will not be cold. It is also a pleasure to be paddling around in a wetsuit that is only 3mm thick. I bought the custom made suit and it is a perfect fit. I recommend this, as fitting is so important. It was more in price but I am expecting to get at least 1 more season out of it (or more), so it evens out. Getting it on is easy but it is difficult to get off, however after three years mine now comes off a little easier. I am proud to wear a NZ Made suit, and glad that I bit the bullet and did not follow the crowd into a more common suit. I highly recommend and congratulate Seventhwave on producing maybe the worlds best wetty! John Griffiths Gisborne Slingshot shredding in Thailand![]() It's almost time to hit the lake in New Zealand, so how about a little wakeboarding action to get you all buzzing? Check out these amazing groms in Thailand using pulley-power to stick some sick tricks. With Summer on the way down-under its a good time to check and service your gear. If your wetsuit needs a medical, send it in and we’ll give it a complete maintenance service to extend its use-by date. Even the best gear can suffer from high-mileage and over-use fatigue. We love feedback, good and not-so-good; it’s the only way we can improve so don’t hold back. For the latest in pics, vid, and blog action, visit us online. Seventhwave online changes daily.
